Event FAQ

FAQ évènement du camping Isis en Cévennes

Would you like to bring your family or friends to the Isis campsite or take part in an event?
It’s a good idea 🙂
Do you have any questions before, during or after your stay?
You’re sure to find the answers here…

We’ll also do our best to help you. We’re a small, independent, family-run business, and each member of our team is responsible for a large number of tasks, so it’s not always easy to give you a straight answer…

Your questions concern an individual holiday with family, friends, as a couple, solo…?

Do you have questions about taking part in an event?

Do you have any questions about the Isis Garden festival? It’s at the bottom ↓

Before you book

  • I’d like to know the price and availability of the accommodation I’m “dreaming of”
It’s very easy: just enter the date of arrival and the length of your stay in the little booking module below and look at the results 🙂

  • I’ve entered the date of arrival and the length of my stay in the little booking module and I can’t see any results… everything’s grey?!!!!
Don’t panic (at least not yet)! There may still be room
ATTENTION: for rentals, there is a minimum of 2 nights in low season and 7 nights in high season

Your reservation

  • I’ve booked a rental (mobile home, bungalow, unusual rental, etc.) and would like to know what I need to bring…
For all rentals, you must bring your own household linen (towels, sheets, etc.) 🙂 You can also rent sheets (€14 per set)
In the rentals, you will find blankets and pillows. In the dormitories, you need to bring everything (they are very basic: 3 bunk beds and 1 socket in 16m2). See more details here
  • I’ve booked a camping pitch and I’m coming in a converted vehicle?
No problem! The pitches are almost always suitable for camper vans, tents, hammocks, caravans and semi-trailers. However, BE CAREFUL: if the event has already started, we cannot guarantee access for large vehicles
  • I’ve made a booking and I’d like to pay the balance in cash. Is that possible?
Yes, you can! In that case, tick the ‘bank cheque’ payment method and send us a text message, an e-mail or call us to let us know 🙂
  • I’m coming with my friends to a rental, how can I be sure we’re all together?
Either you have booked at the same time under the same name in the same file and you will be together if it is the same type of accommodation
Or you have booked independently. In this case, send us an email so that we can make the connection and you’ll be together if it’s the same type of accommodation
  • I’ve got the wrong date, what can I do?
Just send us an email and we’ll see how to change your booking…
  • Are you asking me to pay 100% of my stay when I book?
This is possible but not compulsory. When you book, we ask for a deposit of 30% of the total cost of your stay. If you decide to pay in instalments, you will receive payment reminders between the time of booking and the date of your stay
If you have financial difficulties, we can also deposit your cheque at a later date 🙂

Before your stay

  • How to get here by bus, car, train, airship…?
You’ll find all the information you need on our “Acces” page (don’t forget to car pooling) 🙂
  • From what time can I arrive?
In principle, in the afternoon, but if you arrive earlier, you can always wait on the domain until your accommodation is available
  • What time can I arrive?
Before 7pm, and absolutely before dark, because it’s too difficult to set up a tent in the dark without waking everyone up
  • Is linen included in my rental?
No, but you can at least hire the sheets and, if you didn’t take this option when you booked, we can add them for you on request
  • I won’t be able to get to my pitch by car?! Damned!
Depending on the event, this may not be possible. The car park is +/- 500m away, so it will be possible to leave your belongings in the bar while you are in transit
Outside events, we try to limit vehicle traffic in the campsite and to keep it as pedestrian-friendly as possible
  • I’ve booked my place in a camper van. Will I be far from the event, the toilets and services?
Between 100 and 800m depending on your position 🙂
  • I have to cancel my stay… Can you give me a refund?
    Too bad!
Under the terms of our mutual commitment, the amount refundable depends on the date of cancellation and your subscription to cancellation insurance.
ATTENTION: the handling fee is €50
The best we can offer you, when we can re-let your accommodation, is to transfer the sums already paid to another holiday in the same year

During your stay

  • I can’t find the toilets or places to put my rubbish
Look at the map of the campsite and at reception or in the message you received before your stay. We’ll always be on hand to help you 🙂
  • What services do you offer at the campsite?
Have a look at our “Services” page
  • During my stay, I’ll need practical things (finding a nurse, a garage mechanic, etc.)
Have a look at our “Practical” page
  • I’d like to do some sightseeing while I’m here. What do you recommend?
It’s a great idea 🙂 the Causses, the Cevennes and the garrigue, criss-crossed by over 3000km of waymarked footpaths, are splendid and rich in exceptional natural and cultural heritage. You’ll find plenty of information in our “Activities” page

After your stay

  • I haven’t got my invoice!
On request, invoices can be printed at the campsite reception. A posteriori, we can send it to your email address on request too… 🙂
  • I forgot my toothbrush in the second mobile home on the way down to the river. How do I get it back?
Since we can’t promise to go to the post office in Sumène, we’ll do our best to put it aside until you can organise either to come back and get it or to send us a stamped box with your contact details
  • I was delighted with my stay, how can I let you know?
Yes, yes, yes 🙂 Via online review sites to share it with everyone or simply by email. We’d be delighted to hear from you, as this kind of feedback is a real boost to the Isis team, who work hard all year round to make sure you’re well looked after
  • I’m upset and want to complain
Well, we’re not usually asked the question of where to express our anger. But before we get to that point, it’s great to talk about it, because we’re well aware that there are many areas for improvement. So, all ideas and comments are welcome 🙂

Any other questions?

  • Are you already on first-name terms with me? We haven’t met yet
Yes, but it’s coming soon and it’s “cooler” in the FAQ, I’m told 🙂
  • I haven’t found my answers… Where can I still ask questions?
Try your luck by phone, SMS or email
We’ll do everything we can to give you the best possible answer 🙂

Isis Garden Festival Special
  • Would you like to arrive before the festival and leave afterwards? You’ll need to make several bookings
    If you get stuck…
    * For other dates: try 1 or 2 days earlier or later
    * For a different length of stay: there is a minimum of 2 nights depending on the period. Don’t hesitate to send us a little message
    🙂
    * Availability is up to date: if you can’t find what you’re looking for, it’s probably gone. You can send us an email with your wishes in case there are any cancellations…
    * The booking software is full, it’s a mess: so be patient! We’ll have to start again a little later
  • I would like to book accommodation for 3 nights but you only offer weekly stays…
Click on the weekly offers and you’ll be able to book your 3 nights
  • I’ve paid for my pass with the organisers. Is my camping pitch included in the pass?
Yes, the pitch is included from the first day to the last day of the festival. If you plan to arrive early or leave late, you must make a reservation on our website
  • I’d like an electric hook-up, but I can’t find the option…
As the accommodation is free, we can’t guarantee an electricity connection, so we don’t offer this option. We will consider this possibility when you arrive
  • I absolutely need an electrical connection for my breathing apparatus, how do I go about it?
We can’t guarantee a specific location. Ideally, you should come a little earlier to make sure
  • I wanted to make a reservation
    That’s a good idea 🙂
  • I’d like to bring my dog, my cat and my boa… Is that possible?
We invite you to consult the information given on this subject on the organisers’ website, as we are only the host venue. Due to some unfortunate abuses, it will not necessarily be possible, even on a lead, even on the estate outside the “meetings” area and even if it is very small
We invite you to consult the information given on this subject on the organisers’ website
  • When I make my booking, I can’t enter my postcode?
It happens… overheated booking software bug! With a little patience, it eventually works 🙂 Thanks for your patience
  • I think I’ve filled in everything correctly for my booking, but when I get to the end I see that my “basket” is still empty?
Maybe you’re going faster than the booking software which, if it’s overloaded, can take a bit longer to register… BE CAREFUL not to book your accommodation 4 or 5 times!
  • I’m sleeping in my car, in my girlfriend’s tent or under the stars, do I still need to book?
Yes, yes, you do need to book, because your contribution to the campsite is calculated on your person and per night, whatever your type of accommodation
  • I’m writing to you again. We’re two girls and we’re wondering what security there is in a shared mobile home. Can the rooms be locked?
It’s not easy to answer this question… fears are complicated
For material fears, it’s common sense not to leave your diamonds in plain sight on the table… As for the other fears, perhaps all you need to know is that you’re coming to a campsite, that you’ll be surrounded by people who camp or rent permanent accommodation and who, like you, will be taking part in a festival 🙂
  • I saw that you could sleep in tipis or in a tree, but I can’t find them on the site?
That’s normal, because you have to bring your tipi or hammock to hang in the trees, but BE CAREFUL: not in the treetops and not more than 1m above the ground… above that, it’s reserved for the birds 🙂
  • I’m coming with my converted vehicle but would like to sleep outside the campsite. Is that possible?
NO, not at all, and it’s very important to respect this rule (you mustn’t park outside the campsite either)!
    – For safety reasons: the roads must remain clear to allow access for emergency services
    – To respect our neighbours: the events already generate a lot of traffic and we want to minimise the impact as much as possible
  • I’m coming with my converted vehicle but would like to sleep in the car park. Is that possible?
No. You can only sleep in the spaces designated for this purpose, even if you sleep in your car
  • I’m self-sufficient and can’t afford to pay for my stay. Do you have a solution?
See if it’s still possible to join the organisers’ volunteer teams and exchange your services
  • I only have a carpet to sleep on, will I be able to sleep in a dormitory or accommodation without being disturbed?
This won’t be possible as the accommodation is generally very small (we’re camping), so you’ll need to bring your own tent
  • I’d like to reserve a pitch next to my girlfriend who has already booked. Is this possible?
The first person to arrive will reserve a place for the next person 🙂
