The hidden face of Isis

The seasons come and go in the Cevennes and you’re not always there to see them! The buildings, the “back shops”……

What happens at the Isis campsite when you’re away? 🙂

At the campsite, you can see some kites but also hot-air ballooning!

The sun is back

The river has regained its beautiful colours and the sun has finally returned!

The 12th
Red, Green, Blue and Brown Alerts

The campsite beach under water

The Herault is well established on the campsite beach, the green alert has turned red and the water is brown! As for the campsite, it’s high up, so no worries there 🙂

Sun on alert

Despite the department’s colourful alerts, the sun is shining in Isis!

 Toumeyrolles in flood

The water went over the little footbridge leading to the mysterious island and… it held out 🙂

Autumn colour palette

Water, yes! Alerts… yes! But also a beautiful blue sky on 11 October

Sometimes, building sites and constructions take up all our time including the few minutes we need to keep you up to date!

Merry Christmas to ALL in peace, clarity and happiness! For the whole team: Florence

Don’t worry, friends, the light is coming back even brighter!

Your Isis campsite in the Cevennes closes its gates

– In October

The leaves turn colour: the campsite is decked out in a thousand autumn colours (or almost)

The leaves are falling

– In September

A new mosaic is installed on the site

– In August

We’re not quite sure what happened in August, but many of you were on the estate, so it’s your turn to tell us all about it!
We’d be delighted to publish your comments

– In July

Here’s the SPA!!! Super SPA with the Isis Dream team, Thank you Anton, Julie, Laetitia, Dylan and Ysaline

– In June

This summer’s surprise: a SPA!

Young biologists be warned: there were some ‘re-births’! The beautiful green caterpillars that you brought to reception last summer have been transformed into superb night peacocks (the largest butterfly in Europe, capable of finding other butterflies within a radius of 8km)

Basquet, handball, badminton, volleyball, mini tennis or … ?

Who wanted a new petanque court that was well lit at night, shaded during the day and not too far from the bar?
Here it is, under construction. Get ready for some serious fun! 🙂

Here’s the arrival of the little roulottes at the campsite

– In Avril

The canal is currently very popular with trout fishermen (there are “releases” in April)

In April, the campsite is green, green, green!
But no little flowers in the “planters” yet, it could still be freezing!

The Zephyrs in April with surprise tulips planted, we imagine, by a few Dutch people, thus sealing the Dutch-Cevenol friendship with flowers 😉 THANK YOU

Our sanitary facilities have all been redone, so we’re now restoring our volleyball, boules and miniature golf courts, plus a few surprises

Here’s our future multi-sports pitch: half court for tennis players on holiday, basquet, handball, volleyball, badminton…
For your comfort and enjoyment, we’ve opted for a top-of-the-range prestige court being built by the “Tennis du Midi” company

– In March

It’s almost finished!

Well, the rain’s here!
We had our “Cevenol episode” which kindly waited until the campsite was closed!
The small town of Valleraugue had its feet in the water, Laroque had a drink, but the water didn’t rise on the campsite 🙂

Photo: Laroque seen from the Cazilhac park
The trees on the campsite also held up well, despite gusts of wind of up to 80 km/h
On 7 November, the sun was back and the Herault was superb

The little Toumeyrolles stream that runs alongside the campsite chapel looks magnificent after this “little Cevenol flood”!

With this beautiful autumnal flood, the Hérault and the canal that runs alongside the campsite became one, but did not flood the pitches. The little footbridge that takes you to the mysterious island has taken on water!

Some amusing figures:
At the start of November (in 5 days), 560 mm of water had already fallen, compared with 336 mm in the whole of October, 15 mm in September and 46 mm in August!
