River Swimming
The Cévennes are the land of the rivers, opportunity to swim and discover; burning rocks on which to laze in the sun, multicoloured pebbles, sands, stone skimming, beaches or little fish: a whole enchanting world for children and adults alike.
From the camp-site you have direct access to the river Hérault
Holidays and camping are synonymous with river swimming. The rivers here are at the base of the Cevenne’s richness and offer simple but unforgetable moments of happiness.
Magic, did you say "Magic"?
A few pretty pebbles, a ray of sunshine, a birdsong and here you are in paradise!
A bit further along (on the other side of the mountain) can be found "la Vis": one of the most beautiful rivers in France, with its waterfalls, natural beaches, welcoming rocks and "heavenly"bodies of water
On the other side, a few kilometres away, it’s the Rieutord that run meandering from Saint Martial, a very pretty perched village, to the little town of Sumène..
After Sumène, it disappears underground, leaving and empty bed up till Ganges (it only fills its bed a few days per year to carry away all the bad constructions!
Luckly, a few magnificent bridges have withstood the river for centuries
